Muharram is the first month in the Islamic calendar. Meaning of this word is forbidden. This is a sacred month and it is important for all humanity. All the unlawful acts are forbidden in this month especially unlawful shedding of blood. Different types of rewards are offered in this month and certain days have great importance. The most important day of this month is considered to be the 10th date.

Islamic studies indicate that if a person will spend on his family greatly on this date then he will be given more for the following year. It means that financial freedom could be obtained by spending on family on this date while following certain rules and regulations of Islam. It is also said that if a person is fasting on this date of 10th of Muharram then his sins of the whole year in the past would be forgiven.

Many important events happened on the 10th of Muharram. This day is associated with the birth and entrance of Prophet Adam (A. S.) in paradise. On this date the illness of Prophet Ayub (A. S.) was cured. Bani Israel was given path through the sea on this date. Kingdom of Prophet Suleman (A. S.) was started on this date on 10th of Muharram. On this particular date the creation of the heavens and oceans took place.

Muharram is the month in which Hazrat Hussain (R. A.) was martyred. It is also said that the date of the day of judgement is 10th of Muharram. These are some of the events which took place and also will take place on this date. This month is the first month in the Islamic calendar and it is important due to many reasons. Muharram is a sacred month in the Islamic calendar and it is respected all over the world. The 10th of Muharram is the most important date in this month on which many important events are associated.
